Arrowhead Kennel Club was the vision of a group of fanciers in the northwest “Valley of the Sun” on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona. The first organizational meeting was held in June of 1992. We currently serve the communities of Peoria, Sun City, Surprise, Waddell and surrounding areas.
In 2010 Arrowhead Kennel Club held it’s first American Kennel Club (AKC) licensed shows with Kachina Kennel Club. This successful partnership was the origin of the Turquoise Cluster.
Judges, breeders, therapy dog teams, exhibitors in conformation, obedience, rally, lure coursing, agility, and other involved dog owners are found among our members. We join together as a group to create events for the greater dog world including conformation shows and companion events, matches and public outreach venues such as Responsible Dog Owners Day and sponsoring Canine Good Citizen testing. Annual donations recently have gone to the Rabies Challenge Fund.
If you would like to attend one of our meetings, please join us at CoCo’s on 103rd and Grand Avenue in Sun City (except for the month of July). We currently meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm, but come earlier if you would like to order food. In addition to club business we try an offer an educational segment each month.
